Huckabee on Wright

I've posted here before on my blog about Mike Huckabee and expressed my distaste at his statements about God's relationship to his candidacy, not to mention his manipulation of biblical imagery and language for political gain. I was shocked, however, to see a segment from MSNBC (I can hardly stand Joe Scarborough--blech!) where Huckabee responds to Jeremiah Wright's controversial statements and to Obama's speech on race. Without condoning Wright's statements or endorsing Obama, he provides a thoughtful and nuanced understanding of race issues in general and in the Black Church in particular. Very surprising indeed.

Grace and Peace,

Chase
